This is what all you Star Wars fans have been waiting for!!! An ORIGINAL one sheet, not one of the countless bootlegs/repros you see everywhere.

This is a beautiful example of an original FIRST PRINTING ROLLED one sheet movie poster from the 1977 George Lucas classic "Star Wars". Measures exactly 27" x 41 1/8". These do NOT show up very often in ANY condition. Rolled originals are almost impossible to find. Unused, virtually flawless. No tears, no tape, no stains, no pinholes. Very light bend upper right corner. Graded C9-C10 Near Mint to Mint condition. You will have trouble finding a nicer one. Investment quality.

The style A one sheet was printed at least 4 times in 1977. Many experts believe this version with NSS # 77/21-0 is the first printing. This one always commands a premium over the other versions.

This is guaranteed to be a genuine ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER issued by the studio when the film was first released and meant for theatrical display.

We are absolutely certain it is authentic.

Bootlegs have a "hair" on Luke's belt area. This does not have the hair. See photo below. We have sold this poster for over $1200.00. We offer this one at NO RESERVE!!

Please be aware that most original movie posters issued before the mid 1980's were issued FOLDED (over 95%). This is NOT considered a defect. They were shipped to theatres this way inside film cans. Vintage rolled posters do exist, however they are extremely rare. We can have any folded poster LINEN BACKED which will make the fold lines virtually disappear.

Also please note that most movie posters were actually used at the theater and some will contain slight imperfections like writing on the back, pin holes, fold wear, etc. These are all very common and to be expected, but, if they bother you, all these minor flaws can be remedied in the linen backing process. LINEN BACKING preserves and can actually increase the value of a poster. For the most part any flaws will be fixed and the poster will appear to be in Near Mint condition. Unless otherwise specified, poster measurements quoted above are approximate to the nearest inch. For example, if we say a poster is 27"x41" its precise measurements may be something like 26 3/4" x 40 7/8". This is quite common for all original movie posters.

BEWARE OF "FAKE" MOVIE POSTERS!!

There are bootlegs, reprints, re-strikes, re-issues, etc. all over ebay. WE DO NOT SELL THESE! There are many unscrupulous dealers who successfully pass off these posters as originals. They are almost indistinguishable from originals, only experts can tell. Many who buy them don't know they have been taken, only years later when they sell them do they find out they are worthless. Most bootlegs are from popular movies from the 70's and 80’s (for a list of titles please see our ebay ABOUT ME page). They usually appear in insert size 14 x 36 although one sheets also exist. These posters can be found from dealers who seem trustworthy because of their great feedback. Again, all we can say is BEWARE!! We grade our posters according to the Iguide Universal 10-Point Movie Poster Grading Scale which is summarized below:

C10 Mint - Investment quality. No perceptible flaws of any kind.
C9 Near Mint - Investment quality. Minor flaw on an otherwise unused poster.
C8 Excellent - Investment quality. A few minor defects.
C7 Very Good to Excellent - Fine condition. Still a very nicely preserved item.
C6 Very Good - The typical used poster in average condition.
C5 Good to Very Good - A heavily-worn item.
C4 Good - Below average but still suitable for display.
C3 Fair - Heavily worn, but yet still complete.
C2 Poor to Fair - An extremely worn, possibly even incomplete item.
C1 Poor - The lowest grade, representing items in the lowest possible condition.

Some of our posters are "between grades". For example, a C8-C9 poster will contain all the qualities/characteristics of a Near Mint C9 except for one or two very minor flaws that we believe prevent it from being a true C9.

This includes extra sturdy packaging shipped WITH INSURANCE to anywhere in the world.

We take extra special care when we package your item. For folded posters we put the poster in a plastic bag or envelope and in between two or four pieces of STRONG cardboard and tape it together before placing in the shipping envelope/box. We stamp “DO NOT BEND” all over the outside of the package. For rolled posters we put the poster in a STRONG 3” or greater diameter tube with thick walls at least 3/16” or 1/4“ or thicker. We roll the poster into a smaller diameter than the tube. This is VERY IMPORTANT because it gives the edges strength and helps to prevent them from getting wrinkled. We then wrap with some paper and tape it closed and put some kind of soft cushioning material (also very important!) on the ends to further protect them from getting damaged. We stamp “FRAGILE: DO NOT BEND” all over the outside of the package.

To protect ourselves, we insure our items for the FULL AMOUNT. Import Duties for the European Union apply to any item bought overseas whether or not we list it as a gift on the shipping manifest. In the UK for example, they apply to any gift over £35 and to any item that is not a gift over £18.
